Photo Friday: a glorious example

20140829 [Punch David Clampin talk]Next Wednesday (3rd September) we will be holding an event as part of our collaborative exhibition with Liverpool Libraries Together “Over by Christmas? Life in Liverpool during the First World War”.

Entitled “A Glorious Example”. Reading the British Home Front of the Great War in Propaganda Posters, the talk will be presented by Dr David Clampin at 5:30pm in the Aldham Robarts Library, alongside the LJMU part of the exhibition. This fascinating talk will explore how the recruitment and enlistment to the armed forces was portrayed using the images, language and ideas from a range of posters and publications.
