Did you know there is a British Standard for size designation of clothes? BS EN 13402-3:2013 covers body measurements and intervals and includes things like foot lengths for socks and hand girths for gloves as well as other measurements for clothes for men, women and children. As a member of LJMU you have access to this and many other British Standards.

You can browse by subject (International Classification for Standards) and by module where subject experts have grouped together standards to make them easier to find. Alternatively you can enter search terms in the main search box or if you know the British Standard number you enter that.

Our subscription covers 53 different modules on a range of subjects from things you would expect like Civil Engineering and Building Materials to areas you possibly wouldn’t expect like Food Technology and Textiles. British Standards Online is available from the Databases A-Z.
