Do you struggle to use the Library Resources? Would our specialist software and equipment help you?

spec softwareWe aim to make all three libraries as accessible as possible. Our facilities include induction loops, low-level colour multifunctional devices used for printing and photocopying, scanners, and height adjustable desks. We also have large letter keyboards, wrist rests and mouse pads available on request.

We have specialist software loaded on to PCs in each of the libraries, including:

  • ZoomText; Screen magnification software, available at all three libraries
  • Kurzweil 3000: Screen reading software which helps users hear what is displayed on the screen, available at all three libraries

Specialist Student Advice and Wellbeing staff are based in each of the libraries and offer advice and guidance to students, and work with Library Services staff to provide appropriate support.

Students with Individual Learning Plans may be entitled to additional provision including extended loans.

Library staff can offer sessions to help users with the resources we provide as well as helping users to find information for assignments.
